Join us for a heart-opening evening of Kirtan—a sacred musical gathering of mantra, rhythm, and devotion—with the luminous Rasa Lila.

✨ Rasa Lila features:

• Joanna Manqueros on harmonium and vocals — host of Music of the World on KPFA, harmonium student of Sukhawat Ali Khan, and longtime Bhakti practitioner.

• John Kadyk on bass clarinet — a dynamic performer with the African band Onye and the Messengers.

• Jesse Sheehan on bansuri and tabla — a gifted multi-instrumentalist who studied music in India.

Together, they create a rich tapestry of sound, weaving traditional Sanskrit mantras with Sufi influences, offering an experience that is both rooted and expansive.

Whether you're new to Kirtan or a longtime lover of chanting and mantra, this is an invitation to sing, listen, and connect—to yourself, to the sacred, and to community.

About Rasa Lila

Rasa Lila features Joanna Manqueros on Harmoniun and vocals, John Kadyk on Bass Clarinet and Jesse Sheehan on Bansuri and Tabla. Joanna hosts Music of the World on KPFA, got her harmonium in India and studies with Sukhawat Ali Khan; John performs in the African band Onye and the Messengers, and Jesse is a multi-instrumentalist who studied music in India. Join us for a fun Kirtan, integrating traditional Sanskrit along with Sufi sounds.
