Yoga Nidra, often called "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice designed to promote deep relaxation while maintaining a state of conscious awareness. During our 1 hour class, you will be invited to lie down comfortably and rest as you are guided through a series of relaxation techniques, breath awareness, body scanning, and visualization practices.
There is no movement required once you are settled, and there is nothing you need to achieve or do perfectly. Some people remain fully awake, while others drift between wakefulness and sleep. All experiences are welcome.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring any items that will help you feel supported.
About Sharon Hoag
Sharon discovered yoga in 2013 as a busy labor and delivery nurse seeking relief from the stress of motherhood and a demanding career. What began as a physical practice evolved into a soulful journey, eventually leading her to specialize as a Yoga Nidra teacher. Having studied under Tracee Stanley, Dr. Chanti Tacorante-Perez, Nirlipta Tuli, and Uma Dismore-Tuli, Sharon brings deep gratitude and expertise to her teaching. With over 20 years of nursing experience, currently serving as a Charge Nurse, Sharon intimately understands the impact of burnout and nervous system dysregulation. She now brings Yoga Nidra into hospital and clinic settings to support the wellness of fellow healthcare workers. Her classes offer a gentle, spacious sanctuary for deep rest and restoration. All are welcome, and no prior experience is needed—just come as you are to reset and return to yourself.
